Cash for bumblers
A note-passing bandit with a weak spine is being sought for attempting to rob the Citibank on 86th Street last week.
Workers said that the suspect, described as a white male in his mid-20s, entered the bank just before 4 p.m. on December 22 and slipped a note to a teller reading, “I have a gun, give me the money quickly.”
But the only thing to happen quickly was his escape; The thief hotfooted it out of the bank empty handed as soon as a woman turned to a manager about the note.
Cops said they are hoping to catch the guy before he grows a backbone.
