Fiery freak

A prankster tried to break into an apartment on E. 21st Street on Aug. 28 by using the fire escape, according to a report.

The malevolent man crawled on the roof and used the fire escape to gain entry into an apartment between Avenues U and V, witnesses told police.

The landlord tried to enter the apartment when the wacko was burglarizing it but the goon locked the door, shouted he was the fire department, and fled through the fire escape, according to a report.

Bad direction

Police arrested a man who they said broke a woman’s car window and stole a navigation system on Nostrand Avenue on Aug. 25.

Cops say the man broke the driver’s-side windowof the vehicle parked between Avenues R and S at 4 am. According to reports, police arrested the man on the scene.

Big burglary

A scalawag broke into a man’s house on E. 17th Street on Aug. 26, cops say.

Police say the burglar burst through the front door of the home between Avenues S and T at 2 pm. According to reports, no video surveillances caught the crook.

Wallet snatcher

A perp was arrested after snatching a wallet from a man on E. 18th Street and Kings Highway on Aug. 25, officers stated.

Cops say the man grabbed the victim’s wallet from underneath his arm at 6:30 pm. According to authorities, the victim pursued the perp and the victim’s left arm was injured while he was trying to retrieve his wallet.

Police say they arrested the perp on the scene.

Shocking suspects

Two conmen impersonating Con Edison workers burglarized a woman’s home on E. 24th Street on Aug. 27.

According to a report, the lowlifes wore white shirts, blue shorts, and white helmets. They broke the victim’s window lock at her home between Avenues Y and Z at noon. The victim told police the goons did not steal anything.

Shattered glass

A thug hit a man with a bottle on Avenue U and E. 12th Street on Aug. 31, cops say.

According to police, the ruffian wacked a stranger with the object at 4:30 am, leaving the victim with cuts on his face. Cops say the villain fled the scene in an unknown direction.
