Blooming at Poly

Congrats are due for Poly Prep junior Blossom Parris, who was honored with a Youth Award at the celebration of the 49th anniversary of the Republic of Guyana’s independence at Brooklyn Borough Hall on June 26.

An ABC Scholar in ninth grade, our pal Blossom is a multi-talented student, and passionate about dance choreography, theater, sports, and drama.

Blossom was given the nod for the Youth Award by Tots and Teens in Focus Inc., and Councilman Mathieu Eugene (D–Flatbush) presented the award to Blossom.

Standing O pal Blossom was very honored with the accolade and shared her feelings with the O: “I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to every one of you who made this occasion for recognizing me possible.”

Blossom can now add a Standing O to her list of achievements.

Poly Prep Country Day School [9216 Seventh Ave. at Poly Place, in Dyker Heights, (718) 836–9800].
