A sneak thief swiped a woman’s phone and wallet at a lingerie store on Avenue U on Dec. 4.
The woman told cops that she was paying the cashier at the store near Flatbush Avenue around 4:10 pm and placed her wallet, which was also a case containing her cellphone, on the counter. When she looked for it five minutes later it was gone, according to police.
Someone stole some pricey designer bags and car parts from a car parked on E. 54th Street sometime between Nov. 8 and Dec. 5.
The woman told police that she parked her car near Flatlands Avenue at around 9 am on Nov. 8. When she went back for her car on Dec. 5 around 8:40 am, her items were missing, according to authorities.
Someone stole $2,270 from the commercial truck of a Flatbush Avenue business on Dec. 4.
A witness told cops that an employee of the business near Avenue I is the only one who has access to the money, which went missing from the truck parked outside the building around 3 pm.
When police approached the employee, he told them, “If you want your money I already gave it to my man,” according to cops.
Police arrested a 38-year-old man for stealing more than $1,000 worth of items from an Avenue U department store on Dec. 6.
Officers said the suspect entered the store near Flatbush Avenue and took the merchandise around 7:45 pm. He was apprehended and arrested two hours later at the store, according to a report.
A lawbreaker smashed the window of a car parked on E. 72nd Street to steal electronics and clothes sometime overnight on Dec. 5.
The car’s owner told police that she parked the vehicle near Avenue K around 6 pm. Cops said the next day around 8 am she discovered a broken passenger-side window and several several appliances, a gaming console, a pair of boots, and a laptop all missing, said officials.
A marauder broke into a car parked on Troy Avenue sometime between Dec. 10 and Dec. 11.
The owner of the vehicle told police that she parked her car between Avenues L and K around 7:45 pm and left her wallet in the car. The next day her driver-side window was shattered and her wallet was gone, cops reported.
Officers arrested a 25-year-old woman on Dec. 7 for using fake bills at a department store on Avenue U.
Police said between Oct. 14 and Nov. 25, the fraudster used the counterfeit money at the store near Flatbush Avenue in a total of $6,100 in transactions. She was apprehended at her Marine Parkway home at midnight, authorities reported.
