Share on FacebookA baddie stole $4,000 from a Cropsey Avenue resident on Nov. 19 by hacking into his bank account and grabbing the cash, police said.
The theft occurred around 8:30 am, when reps from the bank called the man — who lives at Bay 25th Street — and asked him if he had transferred the cash, prompting him to realize the money had gone missing, according to the report.
A weasel pretended to be a police officer and attempted to extort $6,500 from a 77th Street resident on Nov. 20.
The incident occurred around 11 am, when the lout called the man — who lives between 15th and 16th avenues — and told him he had a warrant for his arrest, before following up with a text message threatening his arrest if he didn’t wire $6,500, police said.
A good-for-nothing stole a woman’s cellphone, credit card, and $80 on Bay Parkway on Nov. 21.
The pair were near Cropsey Avenue at 10:30 pm when they got into a fight while driving and the woman pulled over and told the man to get out of the car, police said.
The perp then grabbed the woman’s goods and fled on foot on Bay Parkway towards Bath Avenue, according to the report.
A thief stole a man’s 2018 black Nissan parked in his Bay 16th Street driveway on Nov. 22.
The victim left his vehicle unlocked with the keys inside outside his home between 86th Street and Benson Avenue at 2:30 am, police said.
A thief stole a man’s phone and credit card from a Shore Parkway hotel on Nov. 22.
The incident occurred at the hotel near 24th Avenue, where the man and the woman stayed overnight, according to the report. When the man woke up at about 5 am, his goods were gone, police said.
