The final performance on the free Sundays at Kingsborough series takes place May 18 at 3 p.m. and features “Retumba!”

Interweaving traditional rhythms and beautiful ancient melodies with its very own unique interpretation, “Retumba!” bases its work on the music and dance of Africa, Europe, and its expressions in the Americas and the Caribbean: Puerto Rico, Cuba, The Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Brazil.

The performance is in the intimate Leon M. Goldstein Performing Arts Center on the KCC campus, 2001 Oriental Boulevard in the Manhattan Beach section of Brooklyn. Distribution of the free tickets begins one hour before the performance. Parking on campus is also free.

More information about the college and events offered to the pubic can be found at or by calling 718-596-5596.
