Don’t miss our updates:

Robert Straniere, 58.8 percent
Jim Wyne, 41.2 percent

13th Congressional District, Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights and Bensonhurst

Straniere, a former Assemblyman who lost his seat after feuding with party leaders on Staten Island, wasn’t fully welcomed back into the fold by the GOP establishment, but the party’s rank-and-file clearly want him to face Mike McMahon in the November election.

Both candidates remained secluded in Staten Island last night and could not immediately be reached for comment. Check back at later for an update on this race.
