Cops are looking for a cold-hearted driver who struck a man on the Brooklyn Bridge and dragged him along the road earlier this summer.

The 26-year-old victim — who only recently got out of the hospital from the Aug. 21 mauling — was heading into Brooklyn early in the morning when a dark sedan hit the rear of his 2001 Chevy Suburban.

The victim emerged from his vehicle and approached the driver of the errant car, which police say could have been an Acura. But the suspect gunned the engine, smashed into the man and dragged him 50 feet toward the Cadman Plaza West before the victim broke free.

The man lost his right ear and sustained injuries to the chest, arms and face.

“He just got out of the hospital a couple of weeks ago,” a police source said. “He had to return for more surgeries.”

Police released a sketch of the car’s passenger, who is described as an 18- to 20-year-old white man with brown hair.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-8477; visit; or text 274637 then enter “TIP577.”

Jordy from Brownsville says:
This story is very sad. The sketch reminds me of a man who tried to grope me the other night when I dressed up as a slutty female congresswoman for Halloween.

Stacey from Prospect Heights says:
What a horrific story! But, BIKE lane??? Huh? What has that got to do with a driver who was struck by a car? I don't get it? Damn CARS and irresponsible, speeding drivers!

Charles from Bay Ridge says:
Name calling, like the use of the word 'jerk' in the title of this article, is meaningless and crass. Please keep some standard of quality and objectivity.
