A duo armed with a knife and pliers held up a man for his iPhone at the corner of Clinton and Congress streets on Aug. 10.
The pair confronted the victim at midnight and threatened him with their weapons, according to cops.
The victim tried to fight them off and suffered injuries to his arms during the struggle, investigators said.
The thieves escaped with an iPhone, headphones, and $100.

The perps confronted the 20-year-old victim on the block between Huntington and W. Ninth streets at 8:30 pm and demanded she fork over her iPhone.
“Give me your cellphone or I’ll shoot,” one of the crooks said, according to a police report.
The victim handed over her phone and the thieves fled.
Burglars pillaged a Van Brunt Street bar early on Aug. 20 and made off with cash, booze, and electronics.
The crooks forced their way into Red Hook Bait and Tackle through a back door between 5 am and 11 am, police say.
Once inside the watering hole, which is between Pioneeer Street and Visitation Place, the thieves grabbed $830, 11 bottles of liquor including Absolut vodka, Malibu rum, Jack Daniel’s whiskey, and Maker’s Mark bourbon, a Nokia flip phone, and four iPods.
Police arrested three men accused of stealing copper cables from a Metropolitan Transportation Authority construction site on Aug. 20.
A witness told officers he saw the men removing the valuable metal inside an MTA yard at the corner of Smith Street and Fourth Place between 4 am and 4:15 am.
Police canvassed the neighborhood and say they spotted three men pushing an orange cart loaded with the stolen items on Third Avenue near Third Street.
Someone broke into a Degraw Street home and stole a fancy watch on Aug. 16.
The thief forced his way through the front door — damaging the door itself — between 6 pm and 8:40 pm, according to police.
Once inside the residence, which is between Hoyt and Smith streets, the crook grabbed a Movado watch valued at $600, a key, and $40 in cash, and fled.
Two thugs insulted and assaulted a 12-year-old girl inside Coffey Park on Aug. 19.
The villains approached the victim in the green space at around 7 pm near the corner of Richards and Verona streets, made an vulgar remark, and began punching the victim in the face and head.
