Aloha, Joe!

Trader Joe’s will open a long-awaited second Brooklyn outpost in Downtown’s City Point complex tomorrow.

The South Pacific-themed grocery store — known for its friendly Hawaiian-shirt–clad employees and even friendlier prices — is located on the bottom level of the huge Gold Street development, and will welcome new customers with a lei-cutting at 9 am, before inviting them to continue the celebration with food demonstrations and giveaways throughout the day.

Trader Joe’s sits next to the massive DeKalb Market Hall, which opened last week with vendors such as the first-ever outpost of Katz’s Delicatessen, Steve’s Key Lime Pie, and Fulton Landing Seafood.

The Downtown store will join the Boerum Hill location as the grocer’s only two shops in the borough, and locals hope its debut will reduce the massive crowds and winding lines that plague its already-open sister.

Check it out at [445 Gold St. at Flatbush Ave. Extension Downtown, www.traderjoes.com]. Daily from 9 am–10 pm.
