Police are hunting for the villain who shot and killed a teen and injured two other victims in what cops are calling a gang-related daytime fusillade on Hewes Street last week.

The wanted gun-toting weasel fatally shot 19-year-old Valentin Cruz in the head, near S. Third Street on May 23 at about 12:45 pm, and wounded two others hitting a 21-year-old in the belly and a 19-year-old in the lower back, police said.

The wounded 21-year-old was treated at Bellevue Hospital but later arrested for assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and menacing, police said.

Brooklyn Paper photographer Paul Martinka was on assignment for the New York Post when he heard details of the shooting on his police scanner and raced to the scene. When he got there, he found dozens of shell casings littering the trendy intersection, and a man wearing a white baseball cap speeding off in a silver van. Police said they are still investigating and expect more arrests later in the week.

“There’s probably going to be additional arrests,” said NYPD spokesman Detective Martin Brown.
