Police arrested the driver of a Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus after he fatally struck a Bensonhurst woman crossing Bay Parkway on Sept. 5.

The driver was making a right onto the parkway from Stillwell Avenue when he hit 81-year-old Yu Qing Chen just after 8 pm, as she crossed inside a crosswalk, cops said.

Paramedics transported the victim to Maimonides Hospital, where she died from injuries sustained in the crash, authorities said.

Officers booked the 62-year-old transit worker on charges including failing to yield to a pedestrian and failing to exercise due care, according to police.
