A lout punched a man multiple times in the head, causing a laceration and a concussion, and stole his headphones and book bag on 70th Street on April 19, the man told police on April 22.
The incident occurred just after midnight on April 19 at Bay Parkway, when the man was walking home from a school function and the brute began to punch him from behind before grabbing the headphones and backpack and fleeing on foot, according to the report, which added that doctors diagnosed the man with a concussion the next day.
A thief stole a man’s bike from a W. 12th Street park on April 23.
The theft occurred in the park near Avenue P at around 7 p.m., according to the report.
A thief stole $2,000 and a man’s jewelry from his W. Sixth Street home, at some point between April 25 and 26.
The burglar grabbed his loot from the home between Avenues S and T at some point after 1 p.m. on April 25, according to the report, which added that there were no forced signs of entry.
A lout stole a man’s gray 2011 BMW from its 24th Street parking spot sometime overnight on April 25.
The man told police he parked his car near 62nd Street at 5:30 p.m. on April 25, and returned at 10:30 a.m. the following day to find his ride gone, according to the report, which added that the man left his car keys in the vehicle’s cup holder.
A baddie stole a woman’s purse — with $650, her phone, and her social security card inside — at an 86th Street library on April 26.
The theft occurred around 11:30 a.m. at the library near Bay 17th Street, police said.
A crook stole $150 and a credit card from a baby stroller parked on 84th Street on April 27.
The thief raided the stroller parked near 20th Avenue at around 1:30 p.m., according to authorities.
A would-be crook tried to break into an 80th Street apartment on April 27.
Police say the baddie tried and failed to force their way into the apartment between 18th and 19th avenues through a rear second-story window at around 9:40 p.m., police said. — Julianne McShane
