Mom, dad and the kids enjoyed emerald frolics as they rose to a day of thrills and frolics — Irish-style — when the Old Stone House hosted a Tara Festival.
The celebration of Irish pride featured pipers, step dancers and a performance by popular Irish musicians Billy McComiskey, Brendan Dolan and Bernadette Fee at the historic edifice, located within J.J. Byrne Park, 5th Avenue and 3rd Street.
Presented by the Irish American Brooklyn Parade Committee, the festival was dedicated posthumously to renowned Sligo flutist Michael Flynn and “battle of Brooklyn” author John Gallagher.
