Third Ave. Key Food to close – Loss of neighborhood supermarket has many up in arms

Another Bay Ridge supermarket is shutting its doors, leaving many residents wondering just where they are going to shop for food.

While the store manager would not confirm the news that has been making waves from one end of the neighborhood to the other, word on the street is that the Key Food, at 9408 Third Avenue, will be closing next month, to make way for a chain pharmacy, rumored to be a CVS or a Walgreen’s.
