‘Tiger Cubs’ line up and tee off at Junior golf center

Mom, dad and the kids headed to the links at the new Junior Golf Center in Dyker Heights, where a community fun day helped the nation’s first free children’s golfing facility tee-off to a dynamic start.

Youngsters swung into action at the $6 million, state-of-the-art center on Cropsey and 14th avenues, and adjacent to the Dyker Beach Park golfing green where the late father of Tiger Woods fell in love with the sport while stationed at Fort Hamilton in 1972.

The Junior Golf Center boasts a golf course, putting and chipping greens in addition to a driving range and clubhouse with classroom space and viewing stands for friends and family.
