There’s a brand new playground at Public School 110 %u2013 and the kids are jumping for joy over it.
Students and staff members joined representatives of the non-profit organization, Out2Play, to unveil the bright, stimulating and amusement-laden play pen at 124 Monitor Street with plenty of ceremony.
A ravenous champion of disadvantaged youngsters, Out2Play has transformed 40 formerly-dilapidated New York City public school yards into child-friendly, active and safe recreation oases this year alone, doubling the three-year-old group’s past efforts and bringing the total number of refurbished playgrounds to 80 by the end of 2009.
