Police have arrested the guy who they say stuck his head under a woman’s skirt on Aug. 8 at a Downtown subway station, then pushed her down the stairs and beat her up.
The 32-year-old victim said she was leaving the DeKalb Avenue station at the corner of DeKalb and Flatbush Avenue Extension, at 10 pm. As she was walking upstairs to the street, the suspect, a 61-year-old from Crown Heights, put his head under her skirt, and when she tried to push him away, he threw her down the stairs and punched and kicked her, according to police.
A few days later, the victim saw her alleged attacker on the train and snapped a photo, police said. The NYPD disseminated the image to media outlets on Thursday and news of the arrest came late Friday afternoon. The department charged the man, who they say lives on Saint Marks Avenue at Rochester Avenue, with sexual abuse and assault.
Behind the man in the picture is and advertisement bearing the ominous message “Get outta there. Fast.”
