American war heroes, including a 21−year−old soldier serving in Afghanistan, mulled over Washington’s foreign policy during a panel discussion in Coney Island, presented by the Veterans Outreach Project of Urban Neighborhood Services.
Herold Noel and John Matus, veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan, respectively, joined Specialist Loresa Lockett, who is currently deployed in Bagram, Afghanistan, and New York State Veterans’ Counselor George Bosolet for a debate about what America’s role in the embattled nations.
The group, who met in the Coney Island branch library, 1901 Mermaid Avenue, discussed, among other topics, President Barack Obama’s plan for returning veterans.
