Those who make Brooklyn jive and thrive received plaudits galore at a community recognition night, presented by the Kings Bay YM−YWHA.
The accolades hailed the efforts and support of area leaders and volunteers during the tribute at the local educational and recreational facility, 3495 Nostrand Avenue,.
The honorees were: Assemblymember Helene Weinstein, “Building the Future”; Eugene Shkolnikov, field director, Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, “Outstanding Leaderhip”; Irna Vainrib, RN, Comprehensive Care Management, and Maria Clara Delgado, Wellcare Health Plans, both of whom received “Community Partnership” awards; Jane Abraham, UJA Federation of New York, “Community Service”; and the Warner family, “Exemplary Involvement.”
Also hailed were volunteers Glen Balck, Rachel Ginzburg, Shu Yung Lam, Yuk Ching Lam, Harry Levy, Daniela Merkovich and Regina Shrinzes.
