Man shot to death outside of Brooklyn home: cops

Brooklyn detectives are looking for the suspect who shot a man to death outside a home early on Sunday morning.

According to police sources, officers from the 73rd Precinct rushed to 2274 Strauss St. in Brownsville at around 12:12 a.m. on May 12 after receiving a 911 call about a man gunned down in the street.

Upon arriving at the home, the officers found a 24-year-old man lying on the ground just outside of the two-story dwelling; he had been shot in the chest and right leg.

EMS rushed the victim to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center where he succumbed to his wounds at 1:13 a.m. Sunday. Police have withheld his identity, pending family notification.

Police did not immediately have a description of the killer but say detectives are working to determine exactly what took place. The investigation remains ongoing.
