RAPE! Teen sexually assaulted at Library

Two men raped a mentally retarded teenager in the bathroom at the Brooklyn Public Library’s Central branch on Grand Army Plaza on April 14, cops said.

According to police, the victim, who suffers from Down Syndrome and cannot communicate verbally, did not indicate to her family that something had happened to her, but her relatives figured out that she was in pain and took her to the hospital.

Once there, doctors discovered trauma and other evidence that she had been sexually assaulted, cops said.

A spokeswoman for the library said it was unaware of the incident. She said the library had not been contacted by the police.

we need more and more video surveillance cameras in potential or possible areas where assualts can take place. we have the technology and this should be made law in order to protect ourselves from the cowards, lowlives and mentally disturbed the roams our planet , meaning "sick bastards".

I used to work in the library so I would not put it past to them; lots of incidents occurred and the director resigned this year because it was over her head.(I knew the person was not the quality. She was obviously a token director. Good that she has gone.)
Given the neighborhood, lots of people who are there are mentally ill and/or broke. Sad. The employees are people with problems, too. I don't go there any more because I am scared of this sort of things. Nice things were there, too, but first off, they need to correct their BAD management.
