Foul mouth

A foul-mouthed felon wrested an iPhone from the hand of a pedestrian on Feb. 9, but his loud mouth was soon silenced by cops.

The victim told police that she was walking near the corner of Fulton and South Oxford streets at 2:35 pm when a man approached her, repeatedly yelling, “Give me that f—ing phone!”

He grabbed the popular device from her hand, but didn’t get very far; cops picked him up, allegedly with the stolen phone still in his pocket.

2-to-1

It took two grown men and a gun to steal an iPhone from a 32-year old woman on Feb. 9.

The woman told cops that she was walking home on the corner of South Portland and DeKalb avenues at 8:30 pm, when the two men approached her. One drew a gun and said, “Give it up,” while the second pushed her to the ground and grapped her phone.

Both of the cowardly muggers then ran off.

A 16-year old mugger stole a phone from a 17-year old kid who was texting his mother on Feb. 10.

The victim told cops that he was standing at the corner of Waverly and Greene avenues with a friend at 5:25 pm when another kid walked up and demanded the teen’s Sidekick. The thief then snatched the phone from his hand and ran.

The victim and a witness gave chase, but they couldn’t catch the fleet-footed felon.

Pocket picked

A pickpocket stole a 27-year old woman’s wallet as she was leaving an Atlantic Avenue store on Feb. 12.

The woman told the police that she was leaving the shop in the Bruce Ratner-owned mall, which is between South Portland Avenue and Fort Greene Place, when a man bumped hard against her.

She immediately checked her pocket to find that her wallet, containing $400, was gone.

Just flew away

Someone stole a laptop from a bag as the owner was playing Frisbee in Fort Greene Park on Feb. 13.

The 19-year old man left his bag on a park bench near the corner of St. Felix Street and DeKalb Avenue and went to hurl the disc with some friends. When he returned at 3:10 pm, the $2,500 laptop was gone.

Kids these days

A 17-year old kid used threats of force to steal a cellphone from an 11-year old on Feb. 13.

Cops talked to the young victim’s mother, who told them that her son was walking home from the subway on the corner of Clinton and Atlantic avenues when, at 3:15 pm, the mugger approached him and threatened to punch him.

The frightened tween handed his gold-colored Blackberry over to the thief, who then fled eastbound down Atlantic Avenue.
