38th Street revels in traffic-free day

Block party festivities ignited the entire nabe as revelers teamed up for a summer frolic along East 38th Street.

Merrymakers rose to the day of seasonal fun between Avenue P and Quentin Rod, where the annual street fest had neighbors uniting for fun, potluck barbecues and sports tourneys as part of a day of community friendship.

While the young romped on the traffic free block, the grown-ups supervised the cheer.
