5.5-mile ride along new lane

Brooklyn Greenway Initiative, in collaboration with Open Space Alliance invite one and all to a casual 5.5-mile bike ride on the newly striped bike lanes on Kent Avenue and West Street on November 16 at 1 p.m. (meet at 12:30 p.m.).

The New York City Department of Transportation is in the process of striping bike lanes on the streets along the future route of the Greenway in Greenpoint/Williamsburg.

This route will eventually be reconfigured so that pedestrians, joggers and bicyclists will be physically separated from moving traffic with the addition of a planted median. This bike ride is a celebration of this important milestone!

Come out and support this great opportunity to ride safely on the future route of the proposed Greenway! Starts and ends at CitiStorage (North 11th Street between Kent Ave. and the East River).

Bring a helmet, extra water, a spare tube, sunscreen and a camera! RSVP with your full name and contact info to: info@brooklyngreenway.org
