Bat battery
Three dirtbags attacked a man with a bat during a violent robbery on Shore Parkway on Aug. 5.
The victim told police that the three ruffians hit him with a bat and cut him with a knife by Bay Parkway at 1 am, before rummaging through his pockets and stealing his wallet, credit card, social security card, and $700.
Paramedics treated the man for a broken right hand, along with bruises on his leg, back and shoulders, according to police reports.
Paramedic punch
Cops cuffed a man for allegedly punching an EMT while in an ambulance on 65th Street on Aug. 4.
The victim told police that he was taking the suspect to Maimonides Medical Center after a 911 caller saw him passed out on the sidewalk by 18th Avenue at around 7 am, when the man allegedly became restless, unbuckled his seatbelt, and punched the victim in his jaw.
Police arrested the man shortly after on assault charges, according to police reports.
Soda strike
Police arrested three men for allegedly throwing soda at a victim on New Utrecht Avenue on Aug. 3.
The victim told police that the suspect nabbed a bottle of whiskey from his liquor store between 76th and 77th streets, but when he tried to chase after the alleged thieves, they threw a can of soda at his face.
Police nabbed the suspects during an ensuing canvas and charged them with robbery, according to police reports.
A sad sight
Two thieves stole 100 pairs of high-end glasses from an Avenue U store on Aug. 4.
An employee told police that the two burglars forced their way in through the gate and broke a display case inside the store near W. Fifth and W. Sixth streets at 4:45 am, before stealing 100 pairs of Cartier glasses — which usually retail for at least $600 each.
