The 63rd Precinct recently honored its March “Cops of the Month.”
The honor went to officers Rosa Como and Kevin Ryan, who teamed up on a March 6 arrest of a man who had been propositioning teenage boys for sexual acts.
On the morning of March 6, the precinct got a call about from a teenage boy who said a man had offered him money in exchange for sexual favors. The boy said the same man approached him last week with a similar request.
Cops responded to the scene, where the boy told them the man had hopped on a nearby public bus.
At this point, cops hopped in their patrol car and quickly chased down the bus a few blocks away. They then boarded the bus and arrested the man.
“They did an excellent job chasing the bus down – we felt it was the most worthy arrest of the month,” said Community Affairs Officer Patrick Cosgrave.
