70th neighbors enjoy the summer season

Summertime frolickers cemented community ties %u2013 plus shared friendship %u2013 during a fun-filled block party in Bay Ridge that had all the trimmings.

Despite overcast skies, residents on 70th Street between Colonial Road and Narrows Avenue united for a program of special attractions.

While grown-ups relaxed on the stoop and chatted with neighbors, carefree youngsters romped on the cordoned-off block, riding their bikes and showing off their skills at football and other competitive sports.
