Officer Adnan Mohsin was named “Cop of the Month” by the 76th Precinct Community Council last week, a recognition of sustained excellence and consistent results.
In the seven years since being assigned to the precinct, Mohsin, has made 178 arrests — well above average, according to Captain Kenneth Corey, the commanding officer of the precinct.
Accustomed to putting fear in the hearts of criminals, Mohsin had a scare of his own last month. In late May, he was in the process of making an arrest on Baltic Street. The suspect ran and a foot chase and subsequent struggle ensued, Corey said. Mohsin wound up having chest pains and was rushed to Long Island College Hospital, where it was confirmed that he suffered a heart attack, Corey said.
