Brolly brute
Cops arrested a 56-year-old man after he allegedly assaulted another man with an umbrella in an unprovoked attack in Brooklyn Heights on Feb. 19
The 50-year-old victim told police he was walking down Hicks Street at midday when a man carrying an umbrella randomly struck him across the right shoulder, causing him considerable pain.
The victim told cops feared for his life after the attack after being further threatened by the perp who fled after a bystander stepped in. Cops arrested the 56-year-old later that afternoon after identifying him at the Brooklyn Hospital Center.
Slim pickings
Police are looking to track down a shoplifter who made off with over $4,000 worth of denim from the American Eagle store in Downtown on Feb. 17.
The yet-to-be-identified man entered the store on Fulton Street at 1:30 p.m. and pulled a laundry bag from his pocket, according to store staff. He then proceeded to fill the bag with several pairs of slim-fit men’s jeans totalling $4,238.
The man left the store via the fire exit but was captured on security camera, cops said, as they work to identify him.
