Dumbo clothing store robbed twice in two days
A high-end athletic wear shop in Dumbo was robbed twice in two days.
Police said two perps walked into Alo, a yoga and fitness-centered shop on Front Street, at around 3:30 p.m. on July 9. The thieves grabbed $300 worth of t-shirts, and as they did, one of the perps told store employees he was a gang member, and that he was “coming back with my gang” before the pair fled down the street.
The next day, three men returned to the store at 12:41 p.m. and grabbed several pairs of leggings, shirts and sports bras, worth more than $6,000. When an employee tried to prevent them from leaving, one of the men reportedly said “Don’t touch me or I’ll hurt you,” causing the employee to fear for her life. The men then fled on Washington Street and may have jumped into a black getaway car, police said. No one was injured in the incidents.

The perp then took off down John Street with two other people. Though the woman was knocked in the head during the incident, she was not injured.
E-bike stolen on DeKalb Avenue
A sneak stole a delivery person’s locked e-bike on DeKalb Avenue on July 12.
The victim told police he locked the bike $2,500 with a U-lock and key at 3:45 p.m. as he made a delivery nearby. While he was gone, a fast-moving thief clipped the lock — which they left on the scene — and took off on the bike. Cops said a tracker installed on the bike showed its last known location on the Hudson River Greenway before it was apparently disassembled by the thief.
Nail salon swiper nabs cash and supplies
A wannabe nail artist broke into an Atlantic Avenue salon in search of supplies on July 8.
According to police, someone broke the lockbox hanging outside Reedchy Nail & Spa on Atlantic Avenue just after 4 a.m. and used the key inside to unlock the door.
Once inside, the thief grabbed an Apple laptop, a nail file machine, nail tools and polish, and cash, worth more than $4,000 in total. Surveillance cameras captured the incident, but cops had not yet identified a suspect.
Backpack nabbed from bench
A woman’s backpack was stolen after she left it behind in a subway station on July 12.
According to police, the straphanger accidentally left the bag — with her credit cards and ID — on a bench at the Hoyt-Schermerhorn Streets station as she boarded the G train. Several stops later, she realized she no longer had the bag, and then noticed that someone had used her credit card at a nearby deli.
Cops headed to the deli to search for the thief or any sign of the bag, but were unsuccessful.
