Clocked for a radio

A 42-year-old man was arrested on Mar. 29 after he allegedly stabbed another man with a pair of scissors during a dispute over the ownership of a radio in Clinton Hill.

According to cops who arrived on the scene at Park Avenue and Hall Street after midday, two men had been engaged in a verbal dispute over a radio, resulting in the 42-year-old stabbing a 25-year-old man in the left arm.

Responding officers arrested the 42-year-old following a canvas of the nearby area. EMS transferred the victim to Woodhull Hospital for treatment.

Overnight tool thieves

Over $38,000 worth of construction tools were stolen during the burglary of a Fort Greene home currently under construction on Mar. 26.

Construction workers told police that they arrived at the Adelphi Street home that morning to find the residence’s front door had been pried open and tools with a combined value of $38,647 missing.

Cops have yet to find the burglar involved but say they are checking cameras located at a nearby property.

Moped-riding muggers

A woman had her gold chain snatched from her neck by two men riding a moped in Fort Greene on Mar. 26.

The 36-year-old reported that she was en route to a dance studio in the area at around 6 p.m. when two men wearing helmets and ski masks came behind her at high speed.

The men snatched a gold chain worth $400 from the woman’s neck before fleeing the scene near the intersection Lafayette Ave and Fulton Street.
