The victim told police the thieves had removed the device from Find My iPhone, rendering it untrackable, and had used Apple Pay to make a purchase at a nearby smoke shop.

Cops said the victim, a UPS delivery driver, parked his truck on Rockwell Place near Lafayette Avenue just after 11 a.m. while he made a delivery one street over. The delivery took just about five minutes, but as he walked back to the truck, the victim saw an unknown person slip inside and grab seven boxes, all with laptops inside. The perp loaded the boxes into a black SUV and sped off down Lafayette Avenue. Police said the stolen computers were worth $10,000 in total.
