Security is Paramount
A camera man had his equipment stolen at the recently reopened Brooklyn Paramount theater in Fort Greene following a Liam Gallagher concert.
The 47-year-old man reported to police that he left his camera equipment, worth over $7,000, on a table in one of the theater’s dressing rooms at around 11:30 p.m. When he returned to retrieve his belongings at around 1 a.m. the camera was gone.
Cops said they are reviewing the venue’s cameras to identify a suspect.
Boy attacked for scooter
A 12-year-old boy was attacked by three men who robbed his scooter in Fort Greene on April 9.
The boy told cops he was riding on the sidewalk down Dekalb Avenue at 5:30 p.m. when he was stopped by three men who began punching and kicking him in the face and stomach.
The men then took the boy’s scooter worth $100 and fled westbound on Dekalb Avenue.
Good Samaritan struck
A man was attacked by a group of thieves after he took a photo of them in the act of stealing a moped in Clinton Hill on April 6.
According to the victim, he was walking by the intersection of Flushing Avenue and Hall Street at around 3:30 p.m. when he stopped to take a photo of a group of men who were in the process of stealing a chained-up moped.
He told police that the men confronted him, took his phone and smashed it on the ground before one of them pulled out a knife to further threaten him.
One of the men then used the broken moped lock to strike him across his left arm before they fled eastbound on Flatbush Avenue with the stolen moped.
