Loose shooter

A gunman shot a teen in the head on N. Portland Avenue on April 22.

Police officers found the 16-year-old boy with a gunshot wound between Myrtle and Park avenues at 10:45 pm, along with 12 shell casings at the scene. 

Paramedics rushed the young man to Methodist Hospital where he is in critical care, according to police reports. 

Drive by!

A gunman shot a guy in the leg on Lafayette Avenue on April 23.

The victim told police that the wretch fired a shot at his leg between Grand and Classon avenues at 4:45 pm before fleeing in a Chrysler.  

Armed carjackers

A gang of gun-toting goons hijacked a guy’s car on St. Edwards Street on April 19. 

The victim told police that three armed villains surrounded his vehicle asking if he was gang-affiliated near Monument Walk at 2:15 am, when the baddies hopped in and rifled through his pockets, grabbing his phones, chain, keys, and cash, before forcing him out of the car and driving off. 

Pocket pilferer

A weapon-wielding ne’er-do-well held up a woman on Navy Street on April 22.

The victim told police that the crook snuck up from behind near Myrtle Avenue at 10 am and put an object to her back and told her to hand over her bag, before swiping her pocket book. 

Seamless swipe

A pair of reprobates ambushed a deliveryman at knife-point on Quincy Street on April 22. 

The victim told police that the one bandit put a hand on his face while the other pulled out a knife between Classon Avenue and Downing Street at 9:15 pm, before the sinister duo snagged his phone and ran off.

Bad neighbor

Police arrested a woman for allegedly violently beating her neighbor with a pocket knife at their Cumberland Walk building on April 19.

The victim told police that the suspect allegedly cut her finger with a blade and punched her several times inside an elevator between Carlton and N. Portland avenues at 2:20 pm

Cops cuffed the suspect, who the victim has an active order of protection against, on felony assault charges, according to police reports. 

Parking wars

Cops arrested a woman for allegedly assaulting a traffic agent over a ticket on St. Felix Street on April 23.

The victim told police that the suspect allegedly got angry about a parking violation between Dekalb Avenue and Fulton Street at 10 am and pushed him, causing him to trip and fall into a fence. 

Cops rushed to the scene and cuffed the woman just before 10:30 am for felony assault of a traffic agent, according to police reports.
