Shot on the sidewalk
A gunman shot two people outside Whitman Pharmacy on Myrtle Avenue on Aug. 29.
Police responded to a ShotSpotter report near Carlton Avenue and found the two victims, one who had been shot in the right ankle and one on the right leg.
First responders took both victims to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital for treatment.
Phone home
Two robbers stole an iPhone 12 from a victim on Carlton Avenue on the evening of Aug. 26.
The victim told police that one of the pirates grabbed the smartphone out of his hands near Willoughby Avenue, while the other scoundrel punched him in the face.
Paramedics rushed the victim to Lenox Hill hospital for treatment of his injuries, according to police reports.
Off the rails
A pilferer looted a man on S. Portland Avenue on Aug. 28.
The victim told police that he was leaving the subway station near Lafayette Avenue when the mugger pressed something into the back of his neck and grabbed a phone, debit card, and driver’s licence from the startled victim.
Up at bat
A bad family member smacked a relative with a baseball bat on Navy Street on Aug. 28.
The victim, while in the emergency room, told police that the relative hit his head with the sporting equipment during a fight.
The bruised man walked himself to the Brookdale Hospital, where he was treated for lacerations, and received stitches, according to police reports.
Purse-loined
A cad stole two purses from an Ashland Place apartment on Aug. 21.
The victim told police that she hung up her two purses inside her apartment near Fulton Street, but later found the door slightly open and the bags missing.
Not locked up
A pilferer ransacked a Waverly Avenue apartment for a new computer on Aug. 15.
The victim told police that the door to their apartment building at the corner of Atlantic Avenue was unlocked, as was the door to the apartment itself, when a man walked in, picked up a 2017 Macbook Pro from the kitchen counter, and walked right back out.
Bottle service
A suspect allegedly lifted bottles of liquor from a Dekalb Avenue restaurant on Aug. 25.
An employee told police that the man allegedly threw a rock through a glass door at Evelina, on the corner of Adelphi Avenue, slipped in, and nabbed $4,000 worth of alcohol from the bar.
Cops later cuffed the perp for burglary charges, according to police reports.
Cut your losses
A sneak took advantage of an unlocked apartment door on Ashland Place to steal two cameras, an Apple Watch, and a pair of sneakers on Aug. 21.
The victim told police that he left his door unlocked for a few hours while he went to get a haircut, but when he returned, the front door was open, and the contraband was missing.
Not a rodent
A bandit stole two Apple desktop computers, keyboards, and computer mice from a Fulton Street business on Aug. 26.
The victim told police that someone used a rock to break the window at Dusen, a home goods store near Grand Avenue, and left loaded down with tech.
