Brooklyn will come alive with color, pride and purpose throughout June, culminating in Brooklyn Pride Day 2025 — a celebration unlike any other in the Northeast.
The full-day event will take over Park Slope on Saturday, June 14, with a packed lineup of festivities, including the region’s only Twilight Pride Parade, a vibrant street festival, live entertainment and a family fun zone, all centered around this year’s theme: “Rooted in Pride.”
“We’re always delighted to welcome the many people who come to Park Slope to celebrate Brooklyn Pride,” said Joanna Tallantire, executive director of the Park Slope Fifth Avenue BID, which sponsors and hosts the event. “Our local restaurants, stores and bars are gearing up to celebrate. It’s an event that we all look forward to.”
The celebration begins at 10 a.m. with the annual LGBTQIA+ 5K Run/Walk in Prospect Park. Activities then move to Fifth Avenue for a full day of music, food, art and community.
From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Brooklyn Pride Street Festival will fill Fifth Avenue between Union and Ninth streets with local vendors, artists, community groups and small businesses. The Brooklyn Pride Entertainment Stage at Fifth Avenue and Ninth Street will feature a diverse slate of performers from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Little ones can let their imaginations run wild at the Family Fun Zone, open from 12 to 4 p.m. in front of the historic Old Stone House, where pint-sized Pride-goers will find games, crafts and performances designed just for them.
And when the sun sets, all eyes will turn to Brooklyn’s marquee moment: the Twilight Pride Parade. The evening procession steps off at 7:30 p.m., marching along Fifth Avenue from Lincoln Place to Ninth Street, with a reviewing stand at Third Street. Nearly 2,000 marchers — including colorful floats and community groups — are expected to take part.
This year’s grand marshals are Brooklyn City Council Member Chi Ossé and the Prospect Park Women’s Softball League, both recognized for their advocacy and contributions to the borough’s LGBTQIA+ communities.

Brooklyn Pride, Inc., the nonprofit that organizes the celebration, hosts events year-round and reinvests proceeds into local LGBTQIA+ initiatives. June is especially active for the group, with events scheduled throughout Pride Month.
Parade precursors include Brooklyn Pride Honors on Monday, June 9, followed by Lunch With Pride and a stand-up comedy show on Tuesday, June 10. Wednesday, June 11, features an interfaith service and virtual drag bingo, and on Thursday, June 12, the Old Stone House will host an outdoor LBTQIA+ movie night. Pride Night at the Brooklyn Cyclones brings the celebration to Coney Island on Friday, June 13, and the weekend wraps with the Everybooty Tea Party at BAM on Sunday, June 15.
Co-chair Mickey Heller said this year’s celebration is about more than just a party.
“We look forward to showing our Brooklyn PRIDE,” Heller said. “Be loving, be brave, be proud!”
