During a short one-hour opening, someone ransacked an apartment on Congress Street between Clinton and Court streets man’s apartment on Oct. 21, climbing in through a kitchen window and stealing two laptops, two cameras, several photographic lenses, a shoulder bag and two designer watches.

Four men mugged a woman at gunpoint on Henry Street on Oct. 24.

The attack occurred at 11:35 pm at the corner of Amity Street when one of the brutes brandished a gun and ordered the 33-year-old woman to “Give me your bag.”

She surrendered her purse, which contained credit cards, a subway pass and her cellphone.

Phone-y fight

Two teenage girls fought for control of a cellular phone on the corner of West Ninth and Court streets on Oct. 29.

The phone’s 13-year-old owner said she was pushed and punched by a slightly older young lady after school at 3:40 pm.

The scuffle ended with the attacker fleeing empty-handed.

On the front

Intruders burglarized a Smith Street apartment on Oct. 20.

The 32-year-old resident told police she was not in her home, between Third and Fourth streets, from 11 am to 4:45 pm when a thief or thieves grabbed a laptop, two iPods, $60 and pricey cuff links.
