Activists are toasted at Teddy’s Bar

In honor of Brooklyn Day, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz honored Brigitte Veneski and several Williamsburg activists at Teddy’s Bar and Grill (96 Berry Street) who have been raising money for the Northside Town Hall Community Cultural Center in the former site of Wythe Avenue’s Engine 212.

Teddy’s owner Felice Kirby has been holding rent party raffle tickets one Thursday a month at her restaurant, where the Northside Center receives half the proceeds.
