All the ingredients for fun on 11th Street

The neighborhood rang with good cheer as homeowners fired up the barbies and ignited the fun with a block party along 11th Street.

The day gave dwellers between 7th and 8th avenues, an opportunity to relax outdoors with family and friends.

While grown-ups prepared potluck fare and worked on their suntans beneath the final rays of summer sunshine, the kiddies romped on the block and enjoyed an outdoor playground free of traffic.
