He foiled a moving statue, slew the vicious hydra, and barely held off an entire skeleton army, but could Jason and the Argonauts survive in an increasingly competitive job market where individuals even with advanced degrees are having difficulty finding work?
Questions for another day perhaps, as the Cine Noir Film Society screened “Jason and the Argonauts” at the American Playground (Franklin Street between Milton and Noble streets) last Friday on the 45th anniversary of its release date.
The society’s Summer 2008 schedule continues with “Viva Maria” on June 27, “Casino Royale” on July 11, “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” on July 25 and “Yellow Submarine’s 40th Anniversary Tribute” on August 15. Films start at 8 p.m. For more information, email Gary Balaban at scopy@earthlink.net.
