Jammers 2
Cyclones 1 (13 inns.)
Saturday, Aug. 8, at Keyspan Park
After getting just six hits in Friday’s game, the Cyclones stormed back with … just three in the first nine innings on Saturday.
Fortunately, Jamestown was just as inept — and the game went into extra frames.
In the 10th, the Jammers scratched out a run on three singles against usually unhittable Brandon Sage.
But the Cyclones came back, thanks to a Ralph Henriquez two-out RBI single.
The game remained at 1–1 until the 13th, when the Jammers scored the winning run (again off Sage) with a single, a throwing error by Sage and a bad-hop single.
Sage took the loss, his first of the season.
Starter Collin McHugh struck out 12 in his seven innings of shutout ball.
