Cut near tracks
A man was brutally attacked as he made his way to the Montrose Avenue L-train station on April 3.
The victim said that he was near the corner of Graham and Montrose avenues at 12:30 am when he got into an argument with two men. The fight turned violent when one of men pulled a knife and sliced the 22-year-old victim’s wrist.
The victim ran, hailed a taxi and told the driver to take him to Wyckoff Hospital, police said.
The attackers were still at large.
Cash swipe
A quick and silent burglar stole $1,800 from a 63-year-old woman’s Manhattan Avenue apartment as she made a snack on April 3.
The woman said that she was in the kitchen at 10:45 pm when someone crept into her bedroom and took a brown, cash-filled envelope.
She didn’t realize what had happened until the thief — and cash — were long gone.
No laughing matter
April Fool’s Day was no joke for a South Third Street resident who came home to find that a thief had taken his digital camera and some cash.
The 36-year-old victim told police that he was not in his apartment between 10 am and 8 pm.
Sleepover steal
A 23-year-old learned a valuable lesson about letting friends flop at his home.
After a night of partying on March 28, the Scholes Street resident allowed his friend to sack out at his place near Manhattan Avenue for a couple of hours.
When he woke up, his so-called friend was gone, as well as his $1,700 laptop.
