For the fifth year in a row, Assemblywoman Joan L. Millman and Long Island College Hospital partnered to administer free flu shots.
Two hundred area constituents received flu shots at Assemblywoman Millman’s district office, 341 Smith Street in Carroll Gardens. While the flu shots were available to adults of all ages, it is especially important that senior citizens and those with compromised immune systems receive the vaccination.
“With the winter months approaching and flu season on its way, it is a critical time for people to get vaccinated against this virus,” said Millman. “I am grateful to Long Island College Hospital for their support in making this public health service available to so many Brooklynites.”
