This spring, one of Brooklyn’s most creative institutions returns for its annual run. The Atlantic Avenue ArtWalk 2026 will transform a 1.5-mile stretch of Atlantic Avenue into a vibrant open-air gallery from May 9 through May 17, inviting residents and visitors alike to experience the borough’s thriving arts community.

Running daily from noon to 6 p.m., the free Brooklyn art event brings together more than 125 emerging and established artists, whose work will be displayed inside over 60 local businesses. From independent boutiques and salons to restaurants and galleries, participating storefronts will doubly function as exhibition spaces.

The self-guided walking tour spans from Fourth Avenue to the waterfront, weaving through neighborhoods like Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill and Boerum Hill. Along the route, visitors can expect a wide range of artistic mediums, including painting, photography, mixed media, sculpture and live art activations. For those looking to go deeper, select walking tours will also be offered.

The event is organized by the Atlantic Avenue Local Development Corporation, a nonprofit dedicated to economic development and cultural enrichment along the corridor, with support from other local sponsors and neighborhood organizations.

While enjoying Atlantic Avenue ArtWalk, we welcome attendees to stroll along this tree-lined avenue and explore diverse restaurants and eclectic shops ranging from fashion, beauty, art, and home decor in the heart of Brooklyn,” a statement on the event’s website read.
