In honor of the holiday season, Atlantic Terminal is transforming into a lively winter wonderland, featuring markets, family activities and cultural celebrations running through December. Here’s a roundup of family-friendly events taking place at the terminal this year:
The Lay Out Holiday Market
Kicking off the season, The Lay Out — a community-driven initiative celebrating Black culture and businesses — is hosting a monthlong market at Atlantic Terminal. Running every weekend through Dec. 24, the market is open from 1 to 6 p.m. Visitors can shop a curated selection of Black-owned brands offering apparel, accessories, home goods, toys and beauty products. Vendors include favorites such as The Printing Block, Baked N’ Full, Furkat & Robbie and Plantdad by Moobience. Located near Sephora, the vibrant market will also feature DJ sets.
Santa Land + Photo Experience
Children and “little ones at heart” can visit Santa Land on the main level near McDonald’s for holiday cheer and festive photos throughout December. Open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 13–24, the seasonal attraction offers opportunities for kids and adults alike to meet Santa. The experience also includes themed events such as pet night, Sensitive Santa and Pink Noel.
20 Years of Joy Holiday Celebration
Partiers can return to the holiday hub on Dec. 11 to celebrate Atlantic Terminal’s 20th anniversary with a special holiday event. Activities include story time with Santa, a book giveaway in partnership with Brooklyn Book Bodega, seasonal face painting, free photos with Santa and a hot chocolate giveaway. The festivities also feature a Pixie Pods pop-up with dancing and activities, holiday tunes spun by a DJ, and a partnership with Children of Promise, an organization that assists children with incarcerated parents.

Merry Melodies: Live Holiday Music
Music lovers can enjoy the sounds of the season with live performances by the Brooklyn Music School’s Youth Orchestra on Dec. 9 and 10. Performances run from 5 to 6:30 p.m., filling the mall with holiday classics and festive tunes as shoppers browse the pop-up market.

Spin & Shine: Chanukkah Celebration
On Dec. 17, Chabad Fort Greene and its partners will kick off celebrations for the Jewish Festival of Lights from 4 to 6 p.m. Atlantic Terminal will host a menorah lighting, traditional songs, sufganiyot, chocolate gelt and family-friendly activities.
