Mean teen
Cops nabbed a brazen teenaged crook who jumped a 26-year-old man as he walked home on Sept. 19.
The 14-year-old suspect struck when the victim passed the corner of Manhattan Avenue and Boerum Street at around 10:50 pm, punching him in the face then kicking him in the eye, a witness told cops.
With his victim debilitated, the thief grabbed his Blackberry and red hat, but the onlooker helped cops identify the suspect later that night.
Apple jacked!
In Williamsburg, it might be better to be a PC. Crooks targeted Mac products in at least three burglaries this week:
• Hoodlums stole jewelry, cash, and an Apple computer from an apartment on Stagg Street between Union Avenue and Lorimer Street on Sept. 17.
The thieves forced their way through the front door of the apartment and grabbed an opal diamond ring, $400, and a Mac computer, between 1 pm and 8:30 pm.
• Crooks broke into an apartment on McKibbin Street between Seigel Court and White Street on Sept. 18 and heisted a white MacBook laptop. The crime occurred between 7 am and 3 am the next morning, cops said.
• Thieves cleaned out a Borinquen Place apartment on Sept. 19, escaping with Apple computers, electronics and jewelry.
The crooks got into the apartment, which is between South Second and Keap streets, through a side window, and snatched two MacBook Pro laptops, a wireless mouse, two digital cameras, a camera case, a Nintendo Wii and a Tiffany necklace between 9 am and 12:45 am the next morning, cops said.
ATM theft
Crooks made a big withdrawal from a Roebling Street ATM on Sept. 16 — they took the entire machine!
The thieves heisted the ATM from the sidewalk in front of a pizzeria between South Second and Third Streets sometime between 1 and 3 pm. The cash dispenser contained $960.
Gold rush
Muggers are going for the gold in Williamsburg, targeting bling in at least two separate attacks. Here are the facts:
• Three armed crooks robbed a 19-year-old victim of his jewelry on Scholes Street on Sept. 18.
The hoodlums confronted the victim — who was wearing a white gold chain, two diamond-encrusted rings, a white gold diamond watch, and a medallion depicting the last supper — at around 6:50 pm.
“Take it off,” one of the thugs demanded as he pointed a gun at his victim.
The victim obliged and the robbers fled from the block between Graham Avenue and Humboldt Street.
• A thief snatched a 21-year-old woman’s nameplate necklace on the corner of Lorimer and Grand streets on Sept. 19.
The crook yanked the gold chain — which was worth about $300 — and fled across the street at around 1:15 pm.
Purse snatched!
A cruel crook jacked a woman’s purse as she walked home on Sept. 19.
The thief grabbed his victim by the neck as she walked down Boerum Street at around 3:20 am, yanked her handbag from her shoulder, and shoved her to the ground on the block between Lorimer and Leonard streets.
“Mami, mami, don’t talk,” the crook said as he grabbed the victim’s black bag, which contained a phone, keys, an ID and $30.
Gassed
Thieves stole everything they could carry form an unlocked Manhattan Avenue basement.
Crooks got into the cellar, which had been left unlocked for a gas reading, between July 9 and Sept. 19.
Once inside the basement, which is between Devoe Street and Manhattan Avenue, the hoodlums snatched a red Trek bicycle, a Frigidaire air conditioner, three designer winter coats, three pairs of designer boots, and six high-end sweaters.
ID theft
Two thugs mugged a 14-year-old boy as he walked down Montrose Avenue on Sept. 17, but they didn’t get away with much.
The crooks confronted the victim on the block between Manhattan and Graham avenues at around 2:55 pm, punching him in the face and pinning him on the ground.
“What you got, what you got?” one of the hoodlums demanded.
The crooks pilfered the victim’s pockets, but all they turned out with was his student MetroCard and his school ID.
