Back from summer camp

Six-hundred fifty children, including many from Brooklyn, returned home after spending two weeks or more at one of The Fresh Air Fund’s five summer camps in upstate New York.

Eager family members greeted the children with hugs and smiles upon their return. During a visit to camp, New York City children learn new skills, have fun in the outdoors and make friends.

Registration for next summer will open in early 2009. Spots are limited, so don’t forget to sign up early. Children are selected to participate in Fresh Air programs based on financial need.

Fresh Air youngsters are registered by more than 90 social service and community organizations in all five boroughs of New York City.
