A bullet ripped through a teen’s wrist as he celebrated his 17th birthday last week.
Police were told that the victim and a friend were walking through Canarsie looking to meet up with other friends to celebrate the occasion at about 8 p.m. on October 1 when he noticed a man dressed all in black staring at him from across East 95th Street near Avenue J.
Feeling that something was wrong, the victim said that he and his friend bolted, just as the stranger pulled a gun and opened fire.
Police said that a bullet hit the victim in the wrist as he scrambled to escape. He was taken to an area hospital, where he was treated and released.
Cops were still looking for the shooter as this paper went to press.
