Subway sneaks

Two good-for-nothings swiped a guy’s wallet from him inside a Flatbush Avenue subway station on Jan. 2, police said.

The pair of baddies, both wearing blue jeans and blue jackets, approached the 60-year-old victim as he was walking down the stairs to head to the Coney Island-bound Q or B train near Hanson Place and demanded his wallet while they kept their hands tucked in their pockets, officials said.

The victim handed over his wallet with his driver’s license, social security card, direct express, and credit card inside, according to authorities.

Caught

Cops cuffed a guy for striking a man with a rebar on Ashland Place on Jan. 2, police said.

The victim told police he was walking in front of the suspect near Hanson Place at about 7:20 pm when the suspect hit him several times with the bar and kicked him, according to authorities.

Emergency responders took the 31-year-old suspect to Methodist Hospital for psychiatric evaluation, police said.

Vestibule snatcher

A punk swiped a guy’s coat, boots, and gloves from inside his apartment building on Lexington Avenue on Jan. 2, police said.

The 30-year-old guy told police he had left his clothing and boots inside the vestibule of his apartment, which does not have a lock, between Grand and Classon avenues at midnight, and when he left for work the next day at 7 am, it was gone, according to authorities.

Late-night snack

Some sneak broke into a DeKalb Avenue restaurant overnight on Jan. 5 and stole a safe and all of its cash, police said.

An employee told police he locked up the gate of the eatery between Rockwell and Ashland places at about 10 pm, and when he returned the next day at about 11 am, saw the gate was up, the front door was open, and the portable safe with $2,900 inside of it was gone, according to authorities.

Wheely mean

A lout stole a guy’s wheelchair he had left out front of a St. Felix Street building where he was celebrating New Year’s Eve, police said.

The 56-year-old victim told police he had parked his motorized chair outside the apartment between DeKalb Avenue and Fulton Street and locked it with a key code pad at about 11:45 pm, but when he came back outside after the ball dropped at about 2 am, it was gone, officials said.
